Find all the resources you need to succeed as a coach in our youth soccer programs. We are committed to providing you with the tools, training plans, and support necessary to help you lead your team effectively and create a positive environment for young athletes. To ensure the safety of all participants, coaches are required to complete necessary background clearances and certifications, which can be found on this page. Whether you’re a seasoned coach or new to the role, we are here to help you every step of the way to ensure a rewarding experience for both you and your players. For coaches in the county program (grades 3rd – 8th grade), more information on the league rules can be found on the SCYSA website.
Clearances
To coach youth soccer, certain clearances are required to ensure the safety and well-being of all players. Coaches must complete a PA State Police background check, PA child abuse history check, and FBI Affidavit of Compliance, Concussion Training, EPYSA Risk Management, and SafeSport Training. All clearances are free to volunteers. These clearances must be submitted and completed through GotSport, our registration platform, before you can begin coaching. This process helps maintain a safe environment for all participants and ensures compliance with league regulations.
