FAQ
What age groups do you offer programs for?
We offer soccer programs for players from Pre-K through 8th grade, catering to various skill levels and age groups.
Do you provide equipment?
Players are not required to bring their own soccer ball but they can if they choose. We recommend cleats for safety, though they are not mandatory for younger age groups. All players must wear shin guards. If you are having difficulty getting cleats or shin guards, please reach out to a board member. We can help!
How are teams organized?
Teams are generally organized by age and skill level to ensure balanced play. In the U6 (Pre-K & K) and U8 (1st & 2nd Grade) Programs, all teams are co-ed. In the competitive program where teams will play int the SCYSA league, teams will be split into girls and boys teams (unless co-ed is needed to form a team). We also try to accommodate specific requests, such as playing with friends or siblings. Players are not allowed to play down in lower age division for safety concerns.
What is the duration of the season?
Our season starts in August for the U6 to U8 programs. Games typically start after labor day. For the teams playing in the SCYSA league (3rd to 8th grade), coaches are allowed to start practice the second week of July. Games will run into October / November depending on the start of the season.
Are parents allowed to watch practices and games?
Yes, parents are encouraged to attend and support their children during both practices and games. We ask that you respect the coach’s space and avoid interfering during instruction.oggle Content
What is the cost of the program?
Registration for all players is $35.00 for the first child per family, $30.00 for the second child per family, and $25.00 for each additional child per family. We also ask that every player participate in fundraising, raising $45.00 each. If you do not wish to participate, you can pay the $45.00 for the buy-out fee. All fees are due prior to the start of the season.
What is your refund policy?
Refunds are available if requested before the start of the season. After the season begins, refunds are provided on a case-by-case basis.
How can I get involved as a coach or volunteer?
We welcome parents and community members to get involved as coaches or volunteers. No prior coaching experience is required, and we can provide training and support. Please contact Nick Krusinsky at [email protected] if you are interested in coaching at any age level.
How are game schedules communicated?
Game schedules are typically sent via email or text from the coaches. Some coaches will also use a team app where updates and reminders are shared regularly.
Are there any travel requirements for games?
For the U6 and U8 programs, all games are held locally at the Reinerton youth fields. For competitive teams playing in the SCYSA league, some games may require travel to nearby areas, with details provided in advance.
